Poetry in Second Life – Meghamora Woodward, Phorkyad Acropolis • Elizabethan C |
|
From manually typed lines to linereaders to muffled Skype calls to clear voice chat, poetry readings have been a longtime part of the Second Life artistic experience. Not only is Second Life an excellent place for writers to share existing work with a worldwide community, but the experience of Second Life itself can be a powerful poetic inspiration. We will invite Second Life poets in San Francisco and in-world to share some of their work, and stage a blended-reality production of Zayante Hegel’s “Orphan Train” suite of poems, originally performed in Second Life in September of 2008. |
