Hey Everyone!
The newly formed organizing group for SLCC, AvaCon, Inc. has announced SLCC 2010 being held in Boston, August 13-15, at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. Check out the all-new, just launched website at http://www.slconvention.org.

Although the announcement was late in coming due to a number of legal and licensing issues, the planning for a music track is really only a few weeks behind. I have all the confidence in the world, or even in-world, that we can pull off a meaningful and insanely great Live Performance Track for the 2010 convention, building on the foundation we followed for last year's convention. This year we have the task of including things like Poetry, Comedy, Theatre, Storytelling and similar genres of live performance as we share many of the same issues and concerns. I say the more the merrier!

We would like to hear from you all as to the interest of participating at SLCC 2010.

We are having an initial meeting to plan the Live Performance Track for SLCC on Wednesday, June 9th at 6:00pm SLT at the beach at Molaskey's Pub, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wichi/86/210/21. Our goal for the first meeting is to gather people together, discuss committees and general meeting times. See you There!!!

Who is playing this year? Anyone want/need a lead guitarist?

Hi Frederick! I've posted information for the first meeting to plan the Live Performance Track for the upcoming convention. Hope you can make it! Right now we are in the early stages of planning so we don't know, yet who all is coming. I'm sure we can use your talents! Stay tuned!

I am interested in what will be happening inworld in music. I doubt whether I will make it to Boston as I will be moving Aug 1 in RL but I would be interested in helping plan some of the inworld content. I think it is great that some people are able to get together in RL each year, but there are always a lot of people who are unable to do that. The whole appeal of the virtual world is the ability to get together virtually. I think we hugely miss the boat when that isn't at least 50% of the conference offerings.

I'll be there for sure Freddie and can always do with an extra guitarist. Only thing is, I'm not sure how to make sure that im a performer there.Edmund Collins is also coming from Ireland, another sl musician.
